Your new company

A major state government department based in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Support Officer to join the Procurement division. This role will be initially offered on a temporary engagement for 3-months, with the possibility of extension offered. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid competitively.

Your new role

As the Procurement Support Officer, you will be required to provide contract, procurement and administrative support to the wider division. Your duties will include:

• Developing and managing low risk contracts
• Liaising with key stakeholders and suppliers regarding contract matters
• Maintaining contract information and regularly updating the database with information
• Preparing, verifying and processing invoices for payments
• Assisting in delivering training on procurement activities to the wider business
• Undertaking research into procurement related trends and issues

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered, you will need:

• An understanding of contract management and administration
• Knowledge of government procurement processes (desirable)
• Previous experience operating procurement systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
