Known for their durability and precision craftsmanship and offering tailored solutions for both work and recreational use. Our client is now looking for their next 2nd Class Welder/Trade Assistant to join their Wacol team.

Your new role

As our client's new 2nd Class Welder & Trade assistant, your duties will include but not limited to:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminium and mild steel components for ute trays, racks and accessories
• Assist in the assembly of custom vehicle fittings according to drawings and specifications
• Operate hand tools, grinders and basic workshop machinery to prepare and finish quality standard products.
• Collaborate in a team environment and assist in prepping materials and moving stock
• Contribute to workshop cleanliness and assist in general maintenance tasks

What you'll need to succeed

• Aluminium welding experience – Basic skills are considered

• Previous experience in a fabrication workshop, assembly and manufacturing role is advantageous.

• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, grinders, drills and workshop machinery

• Familiarity with vehicle fitting and assembly processes is highly desirable.

• Reliable and have a great can-do attitude.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

• Good Physical fitness for manual handling and workshop tasks
